Business analytics for executives
About the project
Saina RMS is a revenue management system for airlines based on an algorithm for changing the price of air tickets by continuously analyzing a number of dynamic parameters.
Problem
In the current version of the system, heads of analytics departments of companies using our program cannot get a complete picture of tracking data on all flights and on each flight separately.
This makes it difficult to conduct an effective analysis of the situation, which negatively affects the quality of work, team management and resource allocation.
Solution
A decision was made to implement a separate module for executives, with the ability to customize only those indicators that are necessary for a specific user.
Features implemented:
  • Customizable indicators with graphical display
  • Setting up individual report forms with their downloading
  • Comparative analytics with 24/7 access
  • Information about the departing flight in online mode on the map
My Role
  • Researched competitors and experience of foreign companies
  • Designed a web interface including all business needs
  • Implemented adaptive versions (desktop, tablet, mobile)
  • Thought about how the interface can be scaled. Since a lot of functionality will be added to the module in the future as needed
  • Conducted interviews with remote users who will use the future product. Collected feedback, adjusted some points and took into account wishes
  • Interacted with product manager, CEO to identify key functional needs
  • Interacted with front-end and back-end developers, conducted a design review before the release
  • Presented and defended my solutions to CEO, product manager
  • Developed a full UI kit for development
Design
Results
This module interested potential partners with its adaptability and customization of functionality for a specific user. Negotiations are currently underway to purchase this module by an airline.
