Competitors’ schedules and prices module
About the project
Saina RMS is a revenue management system for airlines based on an algorithm for changing the price of air tickets by continuously analyzing a number of dynamic parameters.
Context and problem
When analyzing flight data, airline analysts need to consider not only their own performance metrics but also competitors’ flight schedules and statuses, market price dynamics, and route capacity.
However, the data was scattered across multiple sources, forcing analysts to switch between several external platforms. This resulted in:
  • longer time needed to prepare reports
  • a higher risk of mistakes when comparing data
  • a fragmented view of the overall market situation
Business problem: low speed and accuracy of decision-making by analysts, which negatively affected pricing efficiency and the company’s potential revenue
Research and Hypothesis
I conducted in-depth interviews with airline analysts to understand their workflows and pain points.
The insights showed that they need a single screen where they can quickly view:
  • market dynamics
  • competitors’ activity
  • flight history and changes
Hypothesis:
  • If these data points are combined into one module, analysts will be able to make decisions faster and manage revenue more effectively.
Design Process
  • Market analysis: researched competitors and studied international solutions to identify best practices
  • Design: created the schedule module based on all business requirements and designed the interface to be easily scalable for future features
  • Team collaboration: aligned functional priorities with the Product Manager and CEO, and worked closely with front-end and back-end developers
  • Testing: conducted usability testing with analysts, gathered feedback, and made adjustments to improve the interface
  • UI Kit: used existing components and designed new ones to maintain consistent standards for future product growth
Implementation
The schedule module was integrated into the existing RMS interface, allowing users to:
  • track the appearance and status of competitors’ flights
  • analyze price dynamics by route
  • view the history of flight changes
  • monitor market capacity for selected dates and periods
Key principle: all essential information is available on a single screen, with structured data ready for analysis without switching between systems

Design
Results
→ Market analysis time was reduced by 30%
→ The team’s response speed to competitor changes increased
→ Users noted higher convenience and transparency of analysis (based on internal survey results)
→ The new module increased the overall product value and helped the company secure a new partnership, expanding its business opportunities
Thank you for watching! 💚 I will be glad to cooperate.
